PM1 is a marketing platform for consulting and training for the creation of effective product management in industrial and B2B companies. Our focus markets are Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With Thomas Bauch as the main shareholder and managing director and through freelancers working in partnership according to the PM1 consulting and training concept, we achieve a high level of availability and good geographical coverage for our customers.
All trainers in our partner network are active as trainers as well as consultants and coaches. On the one hand, we constantly “challenge” our own methods, approaches and thought models on a daily basis. On the other hand, we are constantly challenged to prepare complex issues in such a way that they can also be communicated. In addition, all PM experts have already been active as product managers and/or heads of product management. All of this has a decisive advantage for you: we know what we are talking about and we know what we are doing.

As a graduate mechanical engineer and MBA in corporate management, Thomas Bauch speaks the language of engineers and technicians as well as that of business economists, controllers and sales people, which allows him to create important and stable bridges between these areas. Thomas Bauch has 20+ years of professional experience in strategy, product management, business development, product development, marketing and sales in the industry, with a focus on capital goods, technology and medical technology. Of these, he spent 12 years as an executive in various corporate functions in a fast-growing technology company. Several positions were combined with international management experience, P&L responsibility for up to 70 employees and € 10 million cost budget. Highlights include the development and management of a new business unit in the project business with an accumulated turnover of € 50 million in 5 years. Thomas Bauch always has the practical implementation of theoretical concepts in mind.

Ulrike Schwitzko has 15+ years of professional experience in strategic product management and marketing with a focus on capital goods and software-based technologies. In her various professional positions in a fast-growing, global medical technology company, she was responsible for products in different life cycle phases and in highly competitive market environments. As a manager, Ulrike Schwitzko founded and led product management, marketing and project teams in Europe, Australia and Singapore, both in a disciplinary and cross-departmental capacity. In her role as product manager, she conducted numerous sales training courses and individual coaching sessions.

Ulrike Schwitzko’s many years as head of a technical service team and the associated daily interaction with users and customers have given her a particularly strong, customer-oriented attitude and mindset. She then put this to optimum use over several years as PM Manager for a service portfolio.

Mirko Düssel has 5 years of experience as an employed product manager and later as head of product marketing.He has been giving product management training courses for 20 years with over 2000 participants. He has carried out over 100 projects for the introduction, optimization and redesign of product management organizations. He is chairman of the VDI’s product management committee. He is also a lecturer in industrial goods marketing at the Ruhr University in Bochum.

Mirko Düssel is a recognized expert in the development and implementation of effective strategy, marketing and sales programs as well as the design and implementation of sustainable change projects. His focus in the area of strategy and marketing is on strategic and operational market development, product management and new business development, effective marketing, pricing and sales programs, and the management of effective communication campaigns (online/offline). Design thinking training and consulting practice
For Shilu, design thinking is not just a trend, but an essential attitude and method in her daily work to support and coach teams in product development. With her extensive experience as a product and business development manager, she knows all about the complex economic challenges. She is firmly convinced that the best and most sustainable solutions can be found through a targeted and systematic adoption of the customer perspective. Over the past 10 years, she has led and coached various project teams on the basis of design thinking, lean and agile methods. Her goal has always been to coach teams to move quickly and effectively from the vision of the product to its implementation. She led the teams in training sessions and workshops from brainstorming, concept creation and prioritisation to specific product design and MVP product launch.
Product and innovation management experience
During her professional career, Shilu has led numerous digital projects and teams, such as the development and launch of cloud and big data analytics platforms, mobile apps and e-commerce websites. Shilu combines different competences and roles as innovation manager, product manager, business development and marketing manager. She worked with key stakeholders from strategy development and management, but also at implementation level with programmers and designers, as well as with marketing and sales.

Holistic expertise
Immediately after graduating (with honours) from the University of Bayreuth, Herbert Frosch was offered a lectureship in rhetoric and social skills training at the Chair of Human Resources and Leadership, which he held part-time for more than a decade. He later added further seminars on marketing and sales at the International Business School Nuremberg and the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg. In addition, as a senior consultant at Cap Gemini, he carried out various consulting projects in the area of strategy and transformation.
In his various professional positions as well as in management consulting, Herbert Frosch has learnt the profound importance of precisely orchestrated coordination between product management, marketing and sales. Building on this, the optimisation of the business model, additive value creation and the transformation to digitalisation were particularly important to him as a managing director. He addresses this in his seminars and provides impetus for targeted change management in this direction. Herbert Frosch is a creative strategist with excellent diplomatic and communication skills, a pragmatic approach and a strong customer focus.

Herbert Frosch has over 20 years of professional experience in product management, marketing, sales, management and management consultancy in both the consumer and capital goods industries. He spent 16 years as a manager in various roles in fast-growing medical technology companies and technology start-ups.
Several positions were linked to international management experience, P&L responsibility for up to 30 employees and € 20 million turnover. The development and management of a spin-off subsidiary of a medium-sized technology leader as well as the management and restructuring of a start-up through to a successful exit (share deal) should be emphasised.

She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of methods and processes relating to innovation and product management. She supports companies in their change process. She specialises in working out unspoken and future customer requirements.

In his consulting projects, in addition to the strategic tools of product management, he attaches great importance to building understanding for other departments and improving co-operation.
