VDI Technical Committee Product Management

The VDI Technical Sales and Product Management Division is part of the VDI Product and Process Design Association. It offers support for engineers with technical committees, training courses, expert forums and VDI guidelines.

Mirko Düssel and Thomas Bauch are active members and chairmen of the VDI Technical Committee FA 208 Product Management. This committee of representatives from industry and universities works together to develop new guidelines on the topic of product management in an industrial environment.

VDMA Product management certificate course

Since 2018, we have been cooperating with the Mechanical Engineering Institute, the VDMA’s training academy. Thomas Bauch leads the 8-day VDMA Product Management certificate course there. The course was specially designed to meet the requirements of mechanical and plant engineers.

As head of the Product Management certificate course at the Mechanical Engineering Institute, Thomas Bauch also supports the activities of the VDMA Central Product Management Working Group. In this working group, Thomas Bauch has contributed to the development of various guidelines for product management. At the Product Management Conference, Thomas Bauch regularly presents the results of PM projects together with customers.
